Mary's fiber art includes a series of one-of-a-kind, composite prints on fabrics, papers, weavings and other materials. Prints are woodcuts, linocuts, original photography and quotations from her speeches and books. Each piece is finished with unique embellishments ranging from hand-woven items to native products, yielding a constantly evolving collection.

Mary's quilts and fiber art pieces have been collected and exhibited around the world, and Mary Fisher was featured in this "Artist Profile" in Quilting Arts magazine. Mary wrote about the creation and meaning of her African-themed quilts in her 2004 book, ABATAKA.

Mary demonstrated how she creates original fabric by stamping and block printing on a Summer 2007 episode of the Web program "The Quilt Show".
